You will also develop insight into relevant regulations, standards, and industry requirements.

You will acquire the skills needed to analyze and resolve security challenges, perform risk assessments, and apply the appropriate tools and techniques to protect ICT environments.

The course also fosters a strong ethical understanding related to data access and responsibilities in the ICT security field. In addition, you will learn how to develop methods and solutions that address industry demands for effective information security and risk management. This broad foundation is essential both for further studies and for advancing your future career in IT security.

Hardware and software

  • A machine that supports virtualization is strongly recommended.
  • We do not recommend a Mac with an M1 processor, as it does not support certain software or virtualization solutions.
  • At least 16 GB RAM and 1 TB of fast storage (SSD, NVMe, etc.)
  • We do not recommend Apple Silicon processors (M1/M2, etc.) or any ARM processors (e.g., Snapdragon Elite X) for your studies due to compatibility issues with virtualization on certain operating systems, especially the lack of ARM-based Microsoft servers available to students. Intel and AMD processors are good alternatives.

Noroff has ongoing admissions, and applications are processed in the order they are received. The earlier you apply, the earlier you can secure a study place.

To qualify for the program, you must have general study competence or vocational education with a professional certificate. It is also possible to apply based on recognized prior learning.

For international students, depending upon which country you have received your education from, the requirements will differ. Please use this website where you can find the specific requirements for your country at the bottom of the page.
