The Opportunity
We are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Campus Lecturer to teach Back-End Development to higher education students in Norway. The main course focus will be Back-end Technologies with emphasis on .NET and .NET Core, as well as Front-end Technologies using the ReactJS framework.
This is a temporary full-time, 4-month position open to candidates residing in Kristiansand, Norway, who are enthusiastic about learning and education and open to innovative models of teaching.
The ideal candidate will have broad and relevant industry experience and a strong commitment to knowledge sharing through practical and activity-based teaching. You will join a distributed team of educators, working in close collaboration to deliver vocational courses in back-end development.
The candidate should possess strong knowledge in developing user-centered back-end solutions, with expertise in C#, ASP.NET, .NET.UI, Blazor, Entity Framework, LINQ, ReactJS, and JavaScript.
Course materials are provided for students, while campus teachers deliver in-person lectures and prepare for the sessions.
Your Key Responsibilities
- Deliver engaging campus classes in back-end development through in-person lectures.
- Mentor students by providing constructive feedback and supporting their projects.
- Assess student progress through assignments, projects, and evaluations.
- Facilitate discussions and Q&A sessions to support student engagement.
- Stay current with industry trends and technologies.
Qualifications
- Education in back-end development, front-end development, programming, web design, or similar (minimum two-year vocational level or higher).
- At least 2 years of relevant industry experience in back-end development or similar.
- Strong expertise in C#, ASP.NET, .NET.UI, Blazor, Entity Framework, LINQ, JavaScript, and ReactJS.
- Knowledge of cloud services such as Microsoft Azure.
- Knowledge of databases such as MySQL and Microsoft SQL.
- Experience with Git, including branching workflows and pull requests.
Experience We Also Value
- Practical pedagogical education and teaching experience.
- Previous teaching experience in higher education.
- Norwegian language proficiency.
- Familiarity with LMS platforms such as Moodle.
- Experience with remote teaching tools (Zoom, Microsoft Teams, WebEx).
