We are delighted that you have chosen Noroff for your education! Here you will find important information for a smooth start and a solid foundation for your exciting academic journey.

Online studies at Noroff Vocational School start four times a year, giving you several opportunities to start your studies. The next start dates for 2025 are 7 January 2025, 11 March 2025, 12 August 2025 and 14 October 2025.

Before Starting Your Studies

Before you start studying online, it is a good idea to familiarise yourself with the necessary preparations. For example, if you have applied for support from Lånekassen, you must be registered on Studentweb so that Lånekassen can be confirmed that you are an active student. This is important for receiving loans and grants. However, if you are a new student, you cannot register on Studentweb before you start studying. You can read more about registering on Studentweb below.

There is also an app for your digital student card called Pocket ID. This is particularly useful for identifying yourself as a student on different platforms and services, which you may need to do a lot in the first few weeks. The Pocket ID website is currently only available in Norwegian.

The First Days

On your first day, you will receive an email in the morning with specific information about your programme to ensure you are well-prepared to start your education.

The first step in starting your studies is to log in to our learning platform, Moodle. This will give you access to course materials, assignments and important information about your studies.

During the first few weeks, especially the first week for full-time students and the first two weeks for part-time students, you will attend an introductory course. This course will show you how the learning platform works, how to organise your studies and how assessments are carried out. It is a crucial part of your start and provides a solid foundation for your studies.

Access to Tools and Resources

As a Noroff student, you have access to several vital tools and resources to support your studies. You will find information about all of these in the welcome email, but here’s a sneak peek to get you started.

Before you start studying, you will receive an email with instructions on how to access the OneLogin Student Dashboard. Here you will find all the necessary links to the learning platform, support portal and other important materials.

In Moodle you will find general information about your programme, your study plan, lessons, assignments and important dates. This is your main tool for organising and keeping track of your studies.

Here, you can submit inquiries to IT support, the accounting department, and the study administration. You will also find a knowledge base with useful information and guidelines for students. You can access the Support Portal here.

This digital community allows you to build social and professional connections with other students, alumni and potential employers. It's a great place to get involved and network. Access to the Noroff Student Community is provided in the welcome email.

Here you can view your invoices and the status of your application. Use the email address you provided during the application process to log in. Access to the My Application page is provided in the welcome email.

Studentweb is where you register for the courses in your study plan. You can also view your results, request transcripts and manage your studies. Remember to register every semester, and new students cannot register before the start of their studies. Read more about how to register and login to Studentweb.

Academic Calendar

To keep track of important dates, including holidays, exam periods, and other events, use the Noroff Academic Calendar. Here, you can plan your semester and get an overview of all relevant deadlines and events.

We wish you the best of luck with your studies! Remember that we are here to support you throughout the academic year.
