Artim Ademi (25) has had a remarkable journey in interactive media and game development. With a passion for drawing, gaming and a keen interest in game development, Artim pursued a degree in Interactive Media - Games at Noroff. Today, he is a Digital Concept Artist at Runic Dice Entertainment, contributing to the development of their upcoming game, Nanokings.

- I wanted to further develop my understanding in game development and learn ways to not only improve my craft, but also how to apply from a career perspective, he says.

Combining 3D Design and Interactive Media

Artim's journey into the world of game development began at Noroff, where he initially studied 3D Design and 3D Game Design on campus, before switching to an online degree in Interactive Media - Games. Despite the occasional challenges, Artim speaks highly of his experience at Noroff.

- Teachers were kind and understand, some even going the extra mile to adapt to my learning style, it helped a lot and they were always willing to hear me out and help me with whatever I needed.

Currently, Artim works as a Digital Concept Artist at Runic Dice Entertainment, a game development studio actively involved in the creation of Nanokings. In his role, Artim is responsible for the conception and design of various elements crucial to the game, including enemies, playable characters and environmental aspects.

- I’ve been loving the team behind it and my experience with them has been nothing but positive, even in the eyes of disagreements. It’s a lovely team.

- My Degree Helped a Lot In My Preparation For The Real World

Reflecting on his time at Noroff, Artim acknowledges the valuable skills and knowledge he gained during his studies.

- During my years at Noroff i’ve been guided towards a steady workflow, in-depth knowledge on game development, how things work in the industry and i’ve been prepared in a way where i’ve developed thick skin in order to handle any criticism that come my way, he says.

Artim credits his Interactive Media - Games degree with providing him with a solid foundation and preparing him for the complexities of the real-world game development cycle. The challenges he faced during his studies at Noroff, both personally and professionally, gave him the tools to manage conflict within a team and maintain a positive workflow.

- My degree in interactive helped a lot in my preparation in the real world. I would say that at times it gave me the harshest scenarios in a game development cycle.

He continues:

- I’m grateful for it, since now that i’m developing games with a team, I have a much easier time handling any conflicts I may encounter, no matter if it is person to person conflicts or conflicts in my workflow.

As Artim continues to contribute to the development of Nanokings, his success is a testament to the opportunities that come with a strong foundation in interactive media and game development.

Interactive Media - Games is available both online and at Campus Kristiansand as well as Online PLUS at Campus Oslo.
