▫️Get to Know Your Virtual Classmates
To make your life as an online student meaningful, invest time in getting to know your fellow students. It's nice to know who you're "classmates" with, have someone to discuss assignments with, or tackle challenges that might arise during your studies. Who knows, you might meet each other in the professional world later on?
▫️Allocate Time for Activities Besides Studies
Starting as an online student can be overwhelming. There's a lot to learn, a new digital classroom with new classmates and instructors. It's important to dive in, but don't feel like you have to study 24/7. Take breaks; do something entirely different. Go to the movies, hit the gym, or engage in activities that recharge you, so you're ready when the alarm rings the next morning.
▫️Adopt a Learning Mindset
It's okay to find certain modules challenging – it's part of our development and learning. Remember, you're taking online studies to learn. If you already knew everything, you wouldn't be studying it. Be patient and understand that you are making progress - whether big or small.
▫️Establish a Morning Routine
A good morning routine is a common trait among successful individuals. Find your morning ritual and stick to it every day. Consider setting daily goals before you start studying. These goals should be realistic and specific. It often works well and feels satisfying to check off something that's been accomplished ✔️

▫️Avoid Procrastination, Start Today
Avoid the stress! It's the night before the deadline, and you're working like crazy to complete assignments. "Why didn't I start earlier?" This is a familiar dilemma. Planning is crucial, and you must manage your time wisely. At the beginning of the week, new lessons and assignments are distributed; this is when you should create a plan for the week. That way, you gain a full overview of what needs to be done. When you've mastered and submitted everything on time, enjoy the feeling.
▫️Log Off Social Media
Try to be a bit selfish; when you're studying, focus on your studies. Beating Candy Crush, online shopping, and clickbait articles can be tough. Willpower can be drained by much less. Fortunately, there are various software programs online that block websites for a set period. Now you can concentrate without distractions!
▫️Ask for Help
The instructors at Noroff Online Studies are passionate about their subjects and highly value engaged students. Ask questions in the digital classroom, show curiosity, and share your knowledge. It's better to ask one time too many than one time too few.
▫️Have Fun
Turn your studies into something enjoyable. Create a pleasant workspace at home, ensuring it's quiet, organized, and preferably free from distractions. Occasionally, it's also nice to change your study environment, perhaps at a café or a library. Remember that studying should be fun, and the knowledge you accumulate during these years will make you an asset in the professional world.
