Are you unsure whether online studies are for you? We have collected five good reasons why online studies are a good choice.
1. Future-oriented education
At Noroff you get an education adapted to the future labor market. The education is in IT, technology and digital media, and includes digital marketing, backend development, networks and IT security, digital product management and graphic design, in addition to bachelor's studies in areas such as digital forensics and incident response, cyber security, interactive media and applied data science. See all our study programmes here.
The education has been developed in close collaboration with the business community to meet the competence needs of the future. The main purpose is that you should be able to go straight to work after your studies.
2. A flexible everyday life
Online studies can be easily adapted to your situation and your schedule. If you have other commitments in your everyday life, the studies fit around these, as it is flexible and without the requirement of physical attendance or that you are logged in at fixed times. You can work on your studies when it suits you.
Do you live far from a study city, or perhaps you want to travel around the world? As an online student, you can live exactly where you want, as the online studies can be completed anywhere. In the bachelor's studies, the lectures are streamed live from campus, and can be followed from a digital device anywhere in the world. You can also watch the lectures as many times as you want.
The flexibility and commitments surrounding the studies are somewhat different at the vocational school and the university college.

3. Same quality as on campus
After completing your education at Noroff Onlinestudies, you will receive exactly the same diploma as the classroom students. There is therefore no difference in the quality of the study on campus and online, and the diploma after graduation is the same regardless of the place of study.
As an online student, you will have access to a digital classroom, where you will get a good overview of everyday life as a student. Here you will find learning materials and assignments, and you can use discussion forums to communicate with both fellow students and teachers. You will receive close follow-up from your supervisors throughout the course of your studies, and you will meet teachers who are truly passionate about their subject.
4. Experience with independent work
As an online student, you will work largely independently with the subjects. You will have to submit work by the applicable deadlines, and this requires both discipline and good planning from you. In many ways, the student life can be compared to a full-time job, and as an online student you will gain experience in planning and implementing your own work life, and in working independently and effectively with the subjects and work requirements. These are in themselves attractive qualities in the workplace, and it pays to have trained in this before going out to work.
5. Multiple start dates per year
At Noroff, online studies start four times a year: January, March, August and October. This means you can start your studies when it suits you, without having to wait a whole year between each start date.
All of Noroff's studies have ongoing admissions, which means you can secure a place to study right now.
