💰 Apply for Loans and Grants
Make sure to apply for loans and grants as soon as possible! All Noroff programs are approved for loans and grants from the Norwegian State Educational Loan Fund (Lånekassen). You can receive support for both tuition fees and living expenses. Read more about how to apply and how much you can get here.
👩🏼💻 Pay the Semester Fee
The invoice for the semester fee is sent out at the end of the month when the semester starts. This means that if you start your studies in August, you will receive the invoice at the end of August. If you start in October, you will receive it at the end of October, and so on.
🖥 Get the Right Equipment
A good computer is essential for success in most study programs. Additionally, there may be books, software, or other items useful for your specific course of study. You can find more information about what is needed for your study on the program's page or in our FAQ under books and equipment.
📲 Download the Student ID App
During the first week of studies, a student ID will be created for you on the Studentbevis+ app. You will need the student ID to avail yourself of student discounts in your city. Download the app before the start of the semester to be well-prepared!

As a student, you often get good prices on things like public transportation, clothing stores, restaurants and cafes, gym memberships, and much more. If you join Studentkortet, you can take advantage of discounts nationwide. Additionally, there may be local student discounts applicable where you live. Spend some time getting to know the offers – it can save you a lot of money!
🏡 Moving? Get a Student Housing
Are you moving to study? Noroff has campuses in Oslo, Bergen, Stavanger og Kristiansand, and in all these cities, you can apply for student housing through the local student welfare organization. There are also plenty of apartments available on the private market. Check out Finn or hybel.no, and sign up for viewings.
There you go! Now you are ready to become a student, and all that remains is to show up on the first day of school. You will receive information about the meeting time and place as the start of the semester approaches.
