Martins has a bachelor's and a master's degree in visual communications from the Bergen Academy of Art and Design. Information design was his main field of interest during the studies. Visualization of complex information-systems, concepts and graphic user-interface were his primary topics of interest. After spending some insightful years both as a freelancer and a part of design bureau, Martins became interested in pedagogical approach to design. In 2010, after completing a course in pedagogy, he started to work as a teacher in graphic design at Noroff vocational school. Martins has now taken on the role as Senior Advisor at the Vocational Administration.
