Noroff is seeking an Online Teacher in Data Analysis to support and teach students in a fully remote role aligned with Central European Time (CET).

The Opportunity
We are looking for someone who is truly passionate about their subject and committed to student success. You will provide online support and assistance to students, evaluate assignment submissions, and keep learning content current. This is a fully remote, full-time position open to educators residing in Norway or South Africa. You should be comfortable taking direction from senior academic staff, while also showing initiative and self-motivation. Course materials are supplied; online teachers provide guidance and support via chat, occasional video calls, and email.

Your key responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with your Program Manager and team to ensure an exceptional learning experience.
  • Teach the fundamentals of data analysis with practical applications in Excel, Power BI, and Azure-based tools.
  • Instruct students in data visualisation techniques, including building interactive dashboards programmatically and with online tools.
  • Explain challenging concepts clearly and offer additional help when needed.
  • Create and grade assignments and projects.
  • Foster a supportive online learning community.
  • Stay up to date with developments in data analytics.
  • Assist in developing and reviewing new learning content and instructional materials as required.

Required skills and qualifications:

  • Professional or academic qualification in Data Analysis, Machine Learning, Software Development, or a related field.
  • OR at least 2 years of relevant industry experience in associated fields.
  • Professional-level English.

Experience we also value:

  • Experience with learning management systems (LMS) and online course platforms.
  • Knowledge of or practical experience in Python for analysis, MySQL databases, and basic machine learning concepts.
  • Prior experience in teaching or content development and/or a formal qualification in education/higher education pedagogy.
  • Norwegian language is an advantage, but not required.
