Kristiansand enjoys a milder climate compared to the rest of Norway, with relatively mild winters and warmer summers. While winters can still bring some snow and chilly weather, the city’s coastal location means the cold isn’t as extreme as in northern Norway. Applicants with a residence permit or citizenship outside EU/EEA can apply for admission to our study programs that start in August, in February. That is, between February 1 and February 28.

For the startups in October, January and March the application deadline is two months prior to the startup-date.

Make sure you prepare all the necessary documents well in advance and submit your application on time. Start your visa application as soon as you are accepted to ensure a smooth process. Planning ahead is essential for a successful Noroff application.

When you study at Noroff's Kristiansand campus, you’ll automatically become a member of the student welfare organisation, SiA (Studentsamskipnaden i Agder).

SiA provides a range of services and resources to support students, including accommodation, health services, and various discounts. If you prefer accommodation outside of the student housing options offered by SiA, you can find additional listings on finn.no.

Norway is known for its high cost of living. On average, you can expect to spend around NOK 13,000 per month. Here's a breakdown of typical expenses:

• Housing: Monthly costs can range from NOK 4.100,- to NOK 15.000,-, depending on factors such as location, type of accommodation and shared living arrangements. Utilities such as water and sewerage are often included, but electricity and internet may require separate payments.

• Food: Expect to spend between NOK 2,400 and 3,200 per month, depending on whether you cook at home or eat out. Eating out can be particularly expensive, with a basic meal costing around NOK 250.

• Books and supplies: Budget around NOK 2,000 per semester for academic materials, although costs may vary depending on your programme.

• Transport: Allocate at least NOK 500-600 per month for transportation, which may vary depending on your location and travel needs.
