The Opportunity
We are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Online Lecturer to teach Video Marketing in Social Media to higher education students in Norway. This is a remote, full-time position open to educators residing in Norway or South Africa, offering the opportunity to deliver impactful, real-world video marketing training to students across borders.

We are looking to appoint someone enthusiastic about learning and education, open to innovative models of teaching and learning. The successful applicant will teach remotely online, be willing to take direction from senior academic staff, and also show initiative and self-motivation.

Course materials are supplied for student engagement, while online teachers provide guidance and support. Instructional components include chat messaging, occasional video calls, and email communication. The position is wholly online; the applicant will work from home, communicating with students and colleagues exclusively online. Residency in either Norway or South Africa is required.

Your key responsibilities:

  • Teach via online delivery of lectures and practical sessions, including associated course administration.
  • Develop and contribute to the maintenance of courses.
  • Design and run effective assessments, providing adequate feedback to students.
  • Provide appropriate guidance, care, and support to students, helping them develop strong interpersonal skills.
  • Supervise student work, including personal projects.
  • Engage students at all levels through innovative, informative, and rigorous teaching and learning practices.

Required skills and qualifications:

  • Professional or academic qualification in Video Marketing, Marketing in Social Media, Digital Marketing, or a related field.
  • OR at least 5 years of relevant work/industry experience in the video marketing field.
  • Professional-level English.

Experience we also value:

  • Experience with learning management systems (LMS) and online course platforms.
  • Knowledge and practical experience in video marketing and social media platforms (e.g., Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, X, TikTok, Snapchat).
  • Prior experience in teaching or content development and/or a formal qualification in education or higher education pedagogy.
  • Norwegian language is an advantage, but not required.
