Are you passionate about cyber security and education? Noroff University College in Kristiansand is looking for a dedicated and forward-thinking Lecturer / Assistant Professor to strengthen our Bachelor programs in Cyber Security and Digital Forensics.

We are looking for applicants from both academic and industry backgrounds who are eager to contribute to a practice-orientated learning environment and support the development of future digital security professionals.

Your role:

As a Lecturer / Assistant Professor, you will contribute to the development and delivery of our undergraduate Cyber Security curriculum, mentor students, and participate in academic planning and quality assurance.

Main responsibilities:

  • Deliver and support core and advanced undergraduate topics
  • Develop course materials, assessments, and practical exercises
  • Supervise and mentor student projects
  • Contribute to curriculum development and academic planning
  • Participate in internal meetings and continuous improvement initiatives

Required qualifications:

  • Fluent in English
  • Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Computer Science, Cyber Security, Digital Forensics, or a related field
  • Strong technical knowledge and practical experience in one or more of the following:
    • Computer Networks (TCP/IP, secure design)
    • Cyber Security Operations
    • Digital Forensics (e.g., memory or mobile device analysis)
    • Incident Response (threat detection and remediation)
    • Operating Systems (Windows/Linux)
    • Vulnerability Assessment and Penetration Testing

Desirable qualifications:

  • Experience in SOC, CSIRT, law enforcement, or cyber incident response
  • Relevant certifications (e.g., GCFA, GCIH, CHFI, OSCP, CEH, CISSP)
  • PhD or equivalent industry experience
  • Proficiency in Norwegian
  • Teaching experience or technical training delivery
  • Formal pedagogical qualifications (training can be provided)
